Barely whispered conversations followed her everywhere she went.
She was immune to the looks people threw her way.
The acid might have damaged her face,
But her determination and willpower were stronger than ever.
They called her a victim,
She called herself a victor who persisted even when the odds were stacked against her.

Perspective is important in thoughts of self-esteem. Why let a few moments of being a victim dictate how your life should be lived?

Agree. We are a victim only as long as we choose to be so. The moment we decide otherwise, we become a victor or survivor.
Hopped over from the AtoZ. Glad to meet you, Shweta. Do stop by sometime.
I got tied up with work yesterday, so couldn’t complete my V post. Do visit it today @ A to Z of Happiness: Values. Happy AtoZing!
