It’s been over two weeks since the challenge came to an end but unfortunately, I’d been unable to properly respond to all the comments and read other blogs since the last week of April. But I’m back and the next tiny tale will be up as soon as I’ve finished replying to all the previous comments on my posts! I know that it’s too late to do a Reflections post, but like they say – better late than never. So here it is – my experiences as an #AtoZChallenge survivor! 😀
This was the first time I’d participated in a challenge despite having been active as a blogger for over two years. And even though I couldn’t be as active as I wanted to be, I loved every minute of this challenge. This challenge has helped me and my blog in numerous ways:
- It enabled me to commit to a regular posting schedule.
- Encouraged me to write more and keep writing because it made me realize that they were so many who liked reading my work!
- Really gave a much-needed boost to my confidence as far as tiny tales are concerned. After multiple rejections from flash fiction publishing platforms to whom I’d sent in my tiny tales, the response that I got after publishing them on this blog was incredible.
- The happiness and confidence that every like, comment, follow, share and pingback/mention gave me were immense.
- Gave me an opportunity to connect with several other amazing bloggers. The blogging community is wonderful. And they have helped me so much! (I can’t thank them enough for their love and support. Hence the repeated mention)
- Helped this blog gain a lot of new followers and also helped me find several amazing blogs.
- Taught me that you have to always keep an eye on the spam folder because what ends up there isn’t always spam!
- Made me realize that tiny tales are a huge hit. What started off as something meant to be a very short series has grown to be so much more. The last time I checked, I’ve published a total of 36 tiny tales till date – 33 on My Random Ramblings and 3 as guest posts on other blogs.
- This challenge also have a boost my facebook page views and my IndiRank!
- And last but not the least made April a truly awesome month.
When I signed up for this challenge, I had no idea that it would bring about such an amazing outcome – the result was tons better than what I’d hoped for. This challenge is one of the best things that has happened to this blog! I can’t say for sure whether I’ll be back next year to participate in this challenge. #AtoZChallenge is one challenge that can’t be taken lightly! Coming up with 26 posts whose titles progress alphabetically is a hard task. But I’ll try my best to participate.
One thing’s for sure – tiny tales are here to stay! Flash fiction is one obsession that I won’t get cured of. 😀
I came across a lot of bloggers who had taken up amazing themes for this challenge. I was part of an initiative started by Melanie to promote fiction-based blogs. (Do check out the list A to Z Fictioneers)
This challenge has taught me quite a lot. I’m very delighted (and a bit proud, I daresay) to say that I am an A to Z Challenge Survivor!
Thanks to a ton to all of you for reading, commenting and sharing. It means a lot to me. I will be replying to all the comments soon. Please accept my apologies for the delay. And thanks a lot, again.
Being the author, I’m a bit biased so I won’t pick any favourites but which of the 26 tiny tales did you like/love the most? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to hijack the comments section with your answers. 🙂
Here are the links to all my #AtoZChallenge posts! (just in case you missed any 😉 )
