She stared at the barren expanse that lay in front of her and heaved a sigh, bored from the long wait.
Ironic that the blue planet was now anything but blue.
Her watch informed her that the next shuttle to the Mars Rehabilitation Centre was 5 minutes away.

And just when the transport shuttle was in sight, the wall behind her broke down. The wall that was supposed to hold the Terrestrials at bay just collapsed. After the final brick fell to the ground, the place went silent. The guards, the passengers, even the children grew quieter. For they all knew what was coming next.
The ground started to vibrate. The guards trained their weapons down the breached wall. Then they came pouring through. There was no sound. That’s how they took over the world. And……
