SoCS – Where?

Where does the soul go once the life ceases to exist?
I wonder if a departed soul goes to heaven or hell, or if it’s simply reborn… all set for yet another journey from birth till death.
They do call it the circle of life after all!
Life is unpredictable, so is death.
A moment can change the tables and your fate along with it.
Death knows no boundaries and stops for none.
Death is still an invisible barrier, one that’s still not within our reach.
They say black signifies death. But what is black, really?
Is it not the absence of colour?
Black absorbs all colours and reflects none… just like the somber event it signifies – death absorbs all souls.
There’s a reason they call it the claws of death – it literally snatches away your loved ones… leaving us dumbfounded with grief and loss.
Death is the ultimate stop on the journey that is life… or so we think, who knows! Maybe it’s the interval before the next leg of the journey begins.
Yet for those of us from whom death has stolen, it will always be a villain…
one who has carved out unrepairable holes in our hearts along with the souls of our loved ones.
We have lost our loved ones, and we know not if we’ll ever meet them…
If so, when we’ll meet them or where.

  1. Dying was the greatest experience of my life. I did not want to come back. I was transformed into my Natural State, that of Love. We make heaven and hell even while alive on this earth. Since you asked so many questions, I thought you would like to have an answer. (smile) ☺️

    1. We can make heaven and hell on Earth. I’m totally with you on that. Wow, that’s so sweet of you. You’re the only one who came up with an answer. Now that I got an answer, I’m naturally more curious!! Was there no floating towards the light or anything? Didn’t want to come back!? If you don’t mind me asking, what happened? 🤔🤨

      1. I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and was hemorrhaging. One moment I was in my body, the next I was floating looking down at me in the back of the ambulance. Then I just became LOVE and floated away. My next memory I seemed to be in this place with about a half dozen “elders” reading from these massive books. They all concurred it was not my time and that I had to return. NO I did not want to leave that place! Leaving my body was simple. Re-entering however, was another matter. I was just about slammed back into my body and I remember feeling absolute heartbreak that I was again on earth. One message I was given that I have kept all these years. (this happened in 1984) Do not go to your deathbed with unforgiveness on your Heart. Live your life free from holding on to anger and grudges …. forgive. That’s it in a nutshell. Dying is nothing to fear. (smile)

      2. Ohh my God! That’s a surreal experience. Wow. This is the first time I’ve heard anything like this firsthand! I’m glad that you did come back to Earth. Now you get to spread this great message. That last bit, right there, is great advice. After all, life’s too short to hold grudges, isn’t it?

  2. Intriguing questions. I believe there must be something left when our bodies are worn out. A consciousness that continues. I often imagine being in a cabin in the woods with every dog I’ve ever loved. Yet that implies I would have a body, or at least the illusion of a body. Whatever happens, I feel like it will be an adventure, that’s how I hope to approach it when the time comes.

    1. It is intriguing indeed, Jo. Being in a cabin with all our dogs! That’s my idea of a heaven. Life’s an adventure so the end of life could be another adventure. That’s a great thought! Thanks for stopping by, Jo!
