#AtoZChallenge One-liner: K is for Key

Key

(noun)

The very important property that you stash away safely in your handbag, only to find yourself frantically searching for it when you need it/them again.

Almost every day when I return home from work, I have a mini heart attack when I can’t find my keys immediately. Somehow my key takes great joy in getting lost in the depths of my bag!

Do you misplace your keys often? Do you find yourself searching for keys on your doorstep?

This is day #20 of the lockdown here in India. Hope you and your family are safe and well. Stay safe. Take care.

How’s staying at home turning out for you? Do you have the lockdown blues? Stay tuned. I’ll be back soon with a list of activities to fight lockdown blues. 🙂

Do let me know. The comments section is all yours for the taking.

I have received a lot of helpful tips and tricks to open jars. Thanks a lot. My internet was down for most of the day yesterday. So I have a lot of catching up to do. But I will get around to replying to all of your kind comments. I have a lot of blog hopping to do too! 🙂

P.S: Do make sure that you regularly check your spam and trash folders. Some comments end up there and have to be rescued!

  1. It used to happen a lot, then I designated a special pocket in my bag for the keys. The only thing is that I make sure I have them with me when I leave!!!

  2. Not that often as I have a pocket in my bag for keys and a place designated for hanging them in my house. But sometimes yes, and because it happens rarely I get little bigger than mini heart attack as my mind think of all the weired places where I can forget the keys..

  3. I used to misplace my keys a lot. But now I use a small pouch that I clip inside the bag and stopped misplacing them. This is just a tip..do watch some handbag organising videos in Youtube and that would help you get rid of this issue. They helped me for sure.

  4. I thought I’d lost my spare key for months until it appeared in my wallet out of nowhere one day. I’d missed checking one of its pouches! Keys have a way of disappearing. They seem to enjoy giving mini heart-attacks.

  5. Looks like your keys and my keys are in cahoots with each other. Mine hide in the depths of bags and shallows of plain sight too:)

  6. Your posts are always fun Shweta.
I’m pretty sure everyone’s been there. Lost keys in the bag and how the earphones tend to tangle themselves in a pocket. Mystery !!
    Haha. Nice one Shweta.

  7. Yes.. it’s relatable. I have this constant fear of losing keys. Sometimes, I just stop abruptly and check in my bag that whether it’s there or not.
Little struggles of life which we are missing these days.

  8. I have OCD when it comes to house keys, so I don’t have a high chance of losing them. My husband is exactly opposite. It has never happened that he could retrieve the keys from his pocket at one shot.

  9. I am embarrassed with the number of times this happens to me! Especially with my phone..
I would have just put in my bag or pocket and two seconds later I panic and think that I’ve lost my phone forever!

  10. I often forget my keys in the bag only to frantically find them in it the next morning. Another place where I leave them is my jeans pocket
