Lying
(verb)
When you find yourself almost automatically replying with an “I’m fine” statement whenever someone* asks you how you are.
*Sometimes it’s easier not to drag the unsuspecting person into the many complications that life keeps throwing at you (unless of course, they happen to be someone who’s very close to you!). They may have intended it to be a customary question rather than an invitation to open your mind.
What do you think? Do let me know. The comments section is all yours for the taking.
I’ve written about this years ago! In 2015 to be precise. Click on “I’m fine” to read that post.
Excuse the terrible scribble that I have used as my featured image. The artist is none other than me and it was created when I was an amateur blogger! Clearly, I was taking advantage of the fact that my blog didn’t have a lot of readers back then! π
This is day #21 of the lockdown here in India. Hope you and your family are safe and well. Stay safe. Take care.
I have a lot of catching up to do. But I will get around to replying to all of your kind comments. I have a lot of blog hopping to do too! π
After three weeks, I’ll be returning back to work tomorrow. There’s so much work that has to be done. And this will make it really difficult for me to catch up. But I’ll try my best. π
P.S: Do make sure that you regularly check your spam and trash folders. Some comments end up there and have to be rescued!
