Vanish*
(verb)
- A cruel trick that life plays on you when you accidentally misplace your glasses and you have to grope around blindly while squinting to improve your vision because you are blind without your glasses!
- The disturbing phenomena where things seem to disappear only to be found instantaneously when someone other than you start searching.
*The first definition may not be relatable to many lucky individuals who either have 6/6 vision or can see properly even without the glasses. Hence I took the liberty of adding two one-liner definitions. 😏
Here are two other stories that I wrote three years ago as a part of the #AtoZChallenge2017. These stories inspired me to come up with these definitions. 🙂

The first definition holds good my husband and the second one is perfect for me. Lol.

So both of you can relate. 😀 As for me, I can relate to both. Thanks for visiting, Soniaji. 🙂

Yes.. I cannot relate with the first one because I have 6/6 vision.
But the second one is so so relatable. It happens every time. And then, when mom comes it appears magically. It’s damn irritating.

Ohh yes, it’s like the things are bewitched! And you mother looks at you like you have lost your mind that you can’t find a thing that has been right in front of you all along! Do check out the story link. V for vanishing objects. I have a feeling that you’ll like that too! 😉

LOL: That could never happen to me, because I’m truly blind without my glasses, so I never take it off 😉

Ohh! I wonder how you can pull it off. I’m blind without my glasses too but there are times when I have to take it off. 😂 Thank you for reading. Apologies for my extremely delayed response. 😅
