#AtoZChallenge One-liner: W is for Worry

Worry

(verb)

A human tendency to obsess over complications in anything and everything; something that can suck the joy of our lives.

Worrying can be injurious to our health. But that won’t stop us from worrying, will it?

With the COVID-19 cases being reported every day, worrying seems to have cancelled its vacation to be with us 24 x 7. Okay, maybe not 24 x 7. But a lot of time! Yes, I know that worrying won’t change a thing and that it will only destroy our peace of mind. So, now I combat worry with distraction. I keep myself occupied whenever the worry starts to creep in so that I don’t obsess over the worrying details. 😦

Do you worry a lot? What’s your strategy to deal with it?

This is day #34 of the lockdown here in India. Hope you and your family are safe and well. Stay safe. Take care.

  1. Well, yes. It is my nature to worry. Imagine how I feel in this circumstances!
Things are easing out here in Italy after almost two months of lockdown. Next Monday, many shops will be reopening and we’ll face the going back out there. It feels dangerous more than liberating, if you ask me, but we’ll have to do it sooner or later.
I wonder what life will look like in the next months, and I can’t imagine.

    1. Life will definitely change in some ways, if not the other, after corona. It may not go back to the way it was. But whenever it is, I hope that it comes soon. I hope that the situation is better in Italy. A sense of normalcy would feel great as long as there’s no danger of the numbers increasing. Stay safe. Take care!
Apologies for my extremely delayed response. 😅
