A Little Piece Of Heaven

Hidden away in a quiet corner,
Untouched and like a loner
There stood a tiny patch of greenery
Chaotic and yet, such a beautiful scenery
That stood out in sharp contrast
Amid the concrete jungle like an outcast
Neglect was evident from the overgrown weeds
Yet it was unexploited by human needs.
It never failed to offer calm and peace
To anyone who sought release
From the claws of the busy city life.

This poem was written in response to Sue Vincent’s Thursday photo prompt – the #writephoto prompt. The challenge is to use the given photo prompt as an inspiration to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, as long as it is fairly family-friendly. Thank you, Sue for hosting this challenge.

  1. Oh what a beautiful lonely corner! Can stare at that for hours to get some peace and tranquility… A simple, nice written poem, apt for the photo prompt 👍
