tiny tale #75: Something Dark This Way Comes

The sky was overcast with dark clouds that threatened to drive the Sun away before his appointed hour of departure. Ananya was still a long way from home. A sudden fear dislodged her heart and took its place. Her heart was beating loudly in protest that she wondered if it was pounding against her ribs, looking for an escape. She tried to walk as fast as she could without breaking out into a run. She had to get home before the downpour started. She had forgotten her umbrella!

  1. Nice work. I have a magic umbrella – if I’m at my desk and it starts to rain, it’s always in my car. If I’m in my car and it rains, the umbrella is at my desk.

    Thanks for sharing.

      2. Of weather, it’s going to be cloudy for some more days..
Of corona, around 400 cases in Noida. Someone got tested positive in my society recently. No society sealing as in the last 3 days. As per the updates received, the CMO got the person’s house sanitised and the society got their block sanitised. People are roaming around without masks (I see them from my garden :P). All I can do is continue staying at home. We got a lot of journos getting tested positive, so my office officially told us to work from home at least till Diwali.

      3. Sorry. It took a week to reply to this message. It’s good that you can work from office. Going outside is a risk and it’s one that I have to take everyday. Don’t venture out much! Stay safe, take care.
