The Castle of Mystery

The half-moon illuminated,
The starless night sky
The moonlit castle
Seemed eerie and haunted
Silhouetted against the dark sky
The majestic castle
Was a thing of the past
Abandoned, and,
Uninhabited by humans,
But home to bats,
And other creatures of the night
Most humans stayed away
From the mysterious castle
That always vanished
As the first rays of the sun
Greeted the world
The few humans
Who dared to venture
Into the castle grounds
Were never seen
Or heard from again
The vanishing castle
Seemed a mystery,
One that would remain unsolved.

      1. Yup, obviously, like in movies and novels sometimes they leave an open ending and leave on the audience to interpret and scratch their brains 🤭🤭🤭
        It sounds interesting

    1. Oh you’re a brave soul. Thanks for reading, Akshita! Oh and btw, I’ve drawn inspiration from you and I’m going to start my own series of Twisted Fairy Tales. The first one will be up tomorrow. 😃

  1. Intriguing!! I think I would enter the castle eventhough I may have to battle with those bats. Because whoever dares to fight and win over the night creatures will be crowned to become the next ruler of the vanishing castle that houses the bountiful magic land. And the ones who lose the battle will be reduced to nothing….The current ruler of the magic land is 500 years old, means till now whoever who dared have reduced to dust. But no harm in trying right😎

      1. I kinda agree with Shweta! Writers put a part of their soul in their writings, their characters. Basically like hocruxes, except, you are not killing anybody. Even when you die, a part of you lives on:)😎
