I am announcing a brand new category of posts on My Random Ramblings – Fairy Tales with a Twist! Why? You may ask. Well, it’s because classic fairy tales are way too mainstream. Also, I love breaking stereotypes. So I have decided to re-tell many classic fairy tales with a twist/twists of my own. Fair warning, they are nothing like their original versions. I hope you will like it! The first chapter in this series will be published on 29th June at 12AM IST. Stay tuned, folks! ๐
I was inspired to start this series by my fellow blogger Akshita. She has written many re-tellings of classic fairy tales like Cinderella, The Frog Prince, and Snow White. Click on the links to read her versions of these fairy tales. Do check out her blog!

Ohh. It’s working on my app. I checked it from my phone ๐
I wonder what could be the reason. WordPress can be so puzzling at times!

Hey I had already read your post that day itself and shared my comment..Looking forward to more..๐Actually, I have been trying to reply to your comment since yesterday, except for the emoji nothing was getting posted here, must be some technical issue.

Hey, Reshmi. I’ve replied to your email too. Sometimes, comments have to be manually approved and they might take a while to appear. That’s why your comments were disappearing. Thanks for keeping on trying and for letting me know about it. Thank you so much for your support โค๏ธ

Are you doing the masterclass by Neil Gaiman? I did the aftermath of Jack and the Beanstalk when I read he is making the familiar unfamiliar lesson. If you are not doing it then you think like him! That can only be a good thing ๐

Oh. No, I was not aware of such a masterclass. Haha. We might be thinking along the same lines. Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll definitely check it out. This has been a pet project of mine for a long time. This is the first time I’m improvising a classic. ๐
Can you post a link to that post? I’d love to read it.

It is online thing, quite expensive but well worth the price. I think I have about 10 of them lined up, LOL. Neil Gaiman just happened to be the first one that I did.
The post can be found at http://angietrafford.com/2020/05/11/making-the-familiar-unfamiliar/and it was great fun to write the point of view that Jack was a theif and murderer!
I think your story had better morals!

Oh, expensive, you say? I probably won’t end up taking it ๐ It’s great that you have so many of them lined up. Do keep writing.
Oh that sounds interesting. I think I have already read it on your blog. I’ll check it out again.
Thanks a lot, Angie. That’s very kind of you. ๐

It was annual subscription, so I have a year to get through them! (The lockdown made everybody look for something to do!)
Yes, I am still writing and I am concentrating on trying to outline my novel and get back into it. This probably why I have been so quiet in my blogging, because I am happily working in scrivener!
