As the planets aligned in a syzygy above them, The star-crossed lovers parted ways Their careers and family pulled them apart Their love was too fragile to survive the attack.
This post was written in response to the Weekend Writing Prompt. The Weekend Writing Prompt is hosted by Sammi on her blog – Sammi Cox. The challenge is to include the word “syzygy” and write a prose/poem in 30 words. Click on the links to read entries by my fellow bloggers and to know more about this challenge.
This was a rather difficult prompt. That, or I am showing the starting symptoms of a writer’s block! I hope it’s not the latter!
A twenty-something who loves to write short stories, especially ones with a twist. You might find a couple of poems, life experiences and rants in the mix too. :)

This was a prompt word. That’s the only reason why I used it. Btw, “In astronomy, a syzygy is a roughly straight-line configuration of three or more celestial bodies in a gravitational system.”
Hey, Bharaaaaath. I’m just digging up old comments. Even my autocorrect doesn’t recognise syzygy. Wait, now it does!!
Btw, do you remember what it means? 😂
Thank you so much, Reshmi. All your comments have been restored btw. I saw your message. Sometimes WordPress has a tendency to send perfectly okay comments to the spam folder or hold it for moderation! I have rescued all of them 😃
Heartfelt!

I tried to learn a plethora of different words but I remember none.
The traffic moved in syzygy??
(Even my autocorrect doesn’t recognise this word😂😂)
