Anuj and Malavika were on the trip of their lifetime. The pandemic had finally come to an end. The age of social distancing had put things in perspective for the elderly couple. They jetted off to various exotic locations, bend on living life to the fullest. They wanted to capture every moment. Grandpa Anuj was yet to get the hang of the selfie stick. That didn’t stop them from (trying to) take selfies against the beautiful backdrop. Thanks to Grandpa Anuj’s shaky hands, the phone, and the stick fell face down on the rocky beach! Luckily, the phone wasn’t damaged!
(100 words)
This post was written in response to the 100 Word Wednesday: Week 158 prompt. Thank you, Kelly for hosting this challenge. I am so glad that you decided to restart this challenge. 🙂 The challenge is to weave a tale in exactly 100 words based on the given photo prompt. Click on the image to know more about the challenge and read entries by my fellow bloggers.
For the visually challenged, the photo shows a shoreline covered by pebbles. We can make out the outline of a family in the distance. The picture looks as if it was taken by someone lying down on the surface.

I would love to see my grandparents too. But it has to be absolutely safe. I don’t want to put them at risk.

🤔🤔 I doubt about you not knowing.
Don’t talk about poor memory okay. You’re the doc.🙄 Don’t tell me you gave me medicines for diarrhoea when I’d told you, I had cold…. Just coz you forgot which medicine is given for what.
What did you check my throat for then?😲😲😳😳

Actually, dont know 😅😅
And I can’t mix cold and diarrhea when it comes to medicine, I dont have dementia 😜😜😂😂😂

No, I’m from Chennai 😀 , but I watched a lot of Malayalam movies in this lockdown ranging from Manichitrathazhu to Ayyapanum Koshiyum 😀 I can understand malayalam ☺😊 I’d have watched 30+ malayalam movies in these 4-5 months

Wow. That’s great. I’ve been trying the same thing with Tamil movies. So far, I can understand if it’s spoken slowly and if it’s sufficiently diluted with English! Those are some great movies. I guess you have already watched Bangalore days. I recently saw the Tamil remake.

Yes I have ! But there are two things when it comes to Indian movies for me :
1. I totally hate dubs, I always watch movies in their original language even if I font understand I watch with subtitles
2. I don’t watch remakes
Because I think they lose their essence ..
So being a Chennai girl , I watched the movie in Malayalam …I don’t think I’d watch in Tamil … 😅
I don’t why I follow this policy …but yeah 😅
Some really good thamizh movies are :
Super deluxe
Ratsasan
Asuran
Kannum kannum kollaiyadithal
and the list goes on…
I mostly watch indian movies in languages like Tamil , Malayalam , Telugu, and Hindi …I’m trying to watch Kannada too..
But my mom can speak and understand malayalam, Telugu ,Kannada and Hindi though her native is Tamilnadu.
So that’s how I started watching movies in other languages too..
Btw, my mom loves malayalam movies …and she’s been watching a Malayalam movie a day ! 😉

Oh I hate dubbed versions too but I have nothing against remakes. Although in this case, I’m much more happy with the malayalam version. 🙂
I have seen many of those movies. Thank you for the suggestions. I have got to check out a few. Watching movies is the best way to learn, other than speaking to people from those states!
Oh I am so happy to hear that. 🙂
