Taking a walk along the beach, with his faithful dog Bosco by his side had been one of his favourite pastimes. Together, they would watch as the rays of sunlight chased the darkness and spread throughout. Even after his master’s untimely death, Bosco kept their tradition alive.
This tiny tale was written in response to the May 26th #1MinFiction Challenge hosted by Cyranny. The challenge is to write a very short story based on the picture prompt. Thank you for hosting this challenge, Cyranny.

What about you? Do you love dogs? Or are you afraid of them?
I discovered this challenge all thanks to my dear friend Sadje’s post in response to this prompt.
For the visually challenged reader, the image shows a man on his knees who has his hand on his dog, against the background of what seems to be a beach at sunrise.
