Mr. Cat’s Adventures – a tiny tale

Hey, you! That’s right. You, HOOMAN, why are you staring at me like that? I am sitting here, basking in the sun and trying to enjoy a perfectly lazy day. Oh, and in case you were wondering, I had nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with that missing gold fish. Between you and me though, I think it’s the dog!

This tiny tale was written in response to the June 2nd #1MinFiction Challenge hosted by Cyranny. The challenge is to write a very short story based on the picture prompt. The idea is to manage to type your whole story in a minute or less. Of course, you can think about it before hitting the keyboard, and you can take all your time to edit it afterward. Thank you for hosting this challenge, Cyranny.

Don’t you think that Mr. Cat looks a little too suspicious? Or is it just me? This author thinks that the poor golden fish ended up in Mr. Cat’s tummy.

For the visually challenged reader, the image shows a ginger cat with a collar staring intently into the camera.

    1. Thanks a lot, Jeff. I’m happy to hear that. Something about his expression seemed very guilty to me. That’s how I got the idea for the goldfish plot.
I hope you have a great week ahead of you too. Stay safe, take care.

  1. That poise and the cold fire in the eyes did call for a strong opponent, atleast in thoughts! You did a great justice justice to the prompt Shweta.
