Curiosity beckons
Shy little kitten explores his world
one teeny step at a time.
To his audience,
he is a furball of cuteness overload.
To him, the audience looks threatening
like potential threats.
He runs and jumps,
out of their reach.
Tired, he rests for a while
safe, under a table.
This poem was written in response to Sadje’s What Do You See prompt #85. Thank you, Sadje for hosting this challenge. The challenge is to use the picture prompt as inspiration to compose an original story, poem, or a caption.
For the visually challenged reader, the image shows a small kitten looking inquisitively, from under a table.

So much cuteness! I love kittens. My two babies are now grown-up kitties, but I remember.
