Yep. An era of Masks, social distancing, sanitizers, quarantine and lockdowns.

I hope with masks and smaller get togethers we will be able to handle it in future.

Yes, gatherings that adhere to social distancing norms. That’s the only way, unless, of course, covid disappears forever though it seems like wishful thinking at this time.

That’s true. I hope things are improving in your country?

Yes, dear. They are slowly improving. Lockdown is still in place so cases are reducing slightly. The peak is slowly dying down. More people are getting vaccinated. It’s an improvement from how the situation used to be in May but we’ve dropped to the 2nd place when it comes to highest cases per day. Hopefully things will improve further. How’s the situation over there?

I hope the numbers keep on dropping. It’s the same over here. People are getting vaccinated and the restrictions are still in place.

Yes. I hope so too but almost always, people let their guard down when restrictions are relaxed and the cases climb high again. Hopefully, it’ll be different this time around.

Oh yes, I hope we don’t have to wait for a very long time for normalcy to return. We appreciate “normal” so much more now.

Normalcy? Normal changed didn’t it. I don’t think I ever imagined normalcy meant wearing masks to go into stores, or elbow bumps instead of hugs. Well done Shweta. Take care.

Yup, I wish, to have a time travel machine to go back and stop it before it even begins, well, we can’t do this, just I hope it does leave us with many new lessons and life does not stop.

I wouldn’t go so far to say that covid is an illusion. It has certainly stolen many lives, many of whom were my colleagues. But in the ideology where everything is an illusion, covid could be too, I guess.
