six word story #113

Her willpower succeeded where drugs failed.

This post was written in response to my own Saturday Six Word Story Prompt (6WSP) #82: Drug. Click on the link to read entries from my fellow bloggers.

The sheer power of our willpower can get us through so much. They can cure us even when drugs fail to heal. Kindly note that I am not a medical practitioner and I am not saying that all drugs are useless. Psychological factors play a significant role too. On a completely different note, say no to substance abuse. The highs don’t last long and they are sure to be followed by a series of lows and consequences.

    1. I’m glad to hear that Irut. I’ve included a link to the guidelines. You can participate anytime. But do post before the next prompt is up if you want your story to be included in the roundup 😊

  1. ah but if you drink coffee, take meds or alcohol these are also drugs … there are many ‘legal’ and illegal drugs; all will have side effects and can lead to addiction.

Sorry far more than six words but it’s a passion 🙂

    1. True. Addiction comes in all forms. I was addicted to tea once. It was a struggle but I managed to break free. I don’t take tea or coffee these days. You’re right – there are many legal and illegal drugs. It’s better to stay away. I’m glad that you decided to share your views 😊
Sometimes what we want to say cannot be compressed to just six words!
