The watery cage

Watery glass cage
fish swim about aimlessly
safe from the house cat

This story was written in response to KL Caley’s weekly #writephoto prompt. The challenge is to use the given photo prompt as an inspiration to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, as long as it is fairly family-friendly. Thank you, KL for hosting this challenge. Click on the link to know more about this challenge and to read the entries by my fellow bloggers.

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a speckled fish emerging from a pot in an underwater scene.

  1. Why did this make me imagine a cat after these fishes!! Ah! Scary yet funny imagination. I love how you see things, Shweta. Like we all know cats eat fishes but I am sure that would not hit me if I tried this 😀

    1. That was what I imagined while writing this 😂😂😂
It took me a while to get this inspiration. Then I remembered one of my friends telling me that his cat would keep slapping his paws against the glass in a bid to catch the fish in the aquarium! 😄
