False hope tricked her. Disappointment followed.
This post was written in response to my own Saturday Six Word Story Prompt (6WSP) #91: Trick. Click on the link to read entries from my fellow bloggers.
There are cases when we let ourselves get carried away with too much of false hopes. When reality comes knocking, things fall into place only to crash and burn. The disappointment that follows can be hard to bear. I prefer the hard, bitter reality over sugar-coated false hopes. What about you? What do you think? Do let me know in the comments section.

Great take, I think you use the term ‘false hope’ in the same way I use ‘expectations’ … if you look back through my posts or just search expectations I think we mean the same thing!

Ohhhh. I would definitely check out those posts of yours later. Extremely high expectations can devastate you indeed. Thanks, Kate

Hope. We need it, and we need to find a balance in finding hope, and discouraging FALSE hope. Great challenge and six word answer.

I’ve always been a person who believed in brutal honesty rather than sugar coated words, I think its best to face the truth rather than living in delusion.

Yes. Honesty is always better than sugarcoated untruths. We have to face the truth one day or the other. I am in agreement. Sorry for my late reply
