I’m back! (Also, it’s my 7th blogiversary)

Hello everyone. Remember me? It has been over an year since I announced I was taking a break from blogging. Honestly, I never thought the break would extend this long.

But when you set certain things in motion, they take a life of their own and drag you along with their flow. Over the past year, when I was away from the blogsphere and this wonderful community, my time was mostly consumed by my day job, reading, YouTube shorts, cooking, cleaning, organizing, re-organizing, re-re-re-organizing and other chores in no particular order.

That being said, the most notable achievement that I managed to pull off this year was to meet my Goodreads 2022 Reading Challenge for which I had set a lofty goal of reading 100 books. I’m currently reading my 100th book of the year. So it can be safely concluded that my reading target will definitely be surpassed.

I’ve had numerous enquiries from multiple sources as to why I had stopped writing altogether. Somehow reading took a higher priority this year. And I felt that I was not in a space to generate meaningful posts that would be worth my reader’s time.

Today, out of the blue, I felt an urge to pop back into the blogosphere. I had missed this space and the wonderful community. It has been over an year since I last posted anything other than my 6WSP prompts. Even that had been discontinued by the end of last year. I’m sorry that I couldn’t be consistent even with the prompts.

Today marks my seventh anniversary with WordPress. It feels like time has passed me by in the blink of an eye. 7 years since I started my journey with My Random Ramblings and what a coincidence that I picked the same day to log back in and hopefully restart my writing.

Hopefully I’ll be able to stick to a schedule and write in the coming days. I can’t wait to hop over to all of your blogs and see what you have been up to.

Thank you for the love and support you have showered on me all through these years. I hope that it will continue as I dip my toes back again into blogging.
