Family
(noun)
The people who will stick with you (like toffee, I daresay!) through thick and thin, and have your back at all times (unless, of course, if you have tested positive for COVID-19, in which case they’ll have to maintain social distancing)
This is day #14 of the lockdown here in India.
Family is one of my true blessings. Hope you and your family are safe and well.

Yes, they definitely are. Though I’m away from them, I’m perpetually thankful for video call feature. Thanks a lot, Linda. I originally started the words redefined series in response to your One-liner Wednesdays. And I decided to make it my theme for this year’s A to Z Challenge. It makes me so glad to have you here. 🙂 Thanks for the follow. 🙂

It’s really tough being away from loved ones. Can you imagine if we didn’t have such easy ways to keep in touch? The last plagues must have been so lonely and scary, comparatively.
Thank YOU so much for participating in my prompt! 😀

I would have gone mad! Thank God for WhatsApp and Google Duo! Black Death must have been a horrifying experience. Things are much better compared to that. Hopefully corona won’t have that many victims. We can only hope for the best.
No, THANK YOU for the wonderful prompt. It’s a pleasure to participate. Stay safe. Take care. ♥️🙂

ohh..yes. No-one can deny the power of Family. Even if they are not with us but thanks to the technology that we are able to talk to them, see them everyday. Can we ask for more during this tough time?

I do believe along with this crisis people are coming together as family. Oh this is good! Also, in the States we hare to maintain social distancing whether or not we test positive for COVID-19 or not. I’m still going to the parks with my cameras and I’m better for it. Fresh air and sunshine are some of the best things we can of for ourselves right now. Stay well, Shweta. This too shall pass!! xo

Here in India, the entire country is under lockdown and today is the 14th day. Hopefully that’ll keep the numbers from rising. We are forbidden to leave our homes except for grocery runs and other emergencies. The fresh air and sunshine I get are currently from the confines of my balcony. But it’s all that bad. I’ve got more time for blogging and I’ve been able to take up A2Z challenge too! Stay safe, Amy. Take care, dare. Yes, hopefully, this too shall pass soon. ♥️😄

I’ve been on lockdown for over 6 weeks now. I started before it was officially stated that we were on lockdown. This whole scenario can’t be over soon enough for me. For one, I desperately need my hair done. No, I am not a natural blonde so my dark roots are really there. (smile) I go to the park every single day for not only my power walk (am) but over to another park where I do my photographing. I’m getting plenty of fresh air and sun. Oh, yes I am also working on opening my gardens as well. That I’m doing today in fact. (smile)

Absolutely. The biggest blessing of lockdown is to spend time with your family. Everyone is trying to do something together which is wonderful

Yes, it is a true blessing indeed. But for those of us, who are away, it’s one of the hardest feelings too. That’s where video calling comes into play. Thanks a lot for reading. 🙂

People are still out and about, hopefully for their grocery runs and other essentials. I’m stepping out only for the occasional grocery run. I have explored more of my kitchen and my apartment in the last 14 days than before! Luckily, all of my kitchen experiments are turning out to be great. So I’m happy and grateful. Thanks to blogging, binge-watching, cooking, friends and family, I’m still sane despite being in self-isolation. 🙂
How are things over there?

Having been a stubborn teenager wanting to get away from home asap, coming back now and being with family doesn’t feel so bad. It’s that realisation time for me that this is the place with the greatest comfort I’ve ever had in my life. 🙂

We’ve been locked down for almost a month here in Italy. Ilive with part of my family, but another part has to live away, and I’m starting to miss them terribly, even if I talk to them almost daily.
It’s such a terrible time.
I heard a doctor say that this is the disease of loneliness. It’s true. And it’s so terrible.

This is indeed a disease of loneliness. Hope you and your extended family members are safe and well. Hang in there. This too shall pass. Social distancing is our only hope, as of now. How’s the situation in Italy? Are things taking a turn for the better? Sending my prayers and best wishes, Sarah.

So I was just discussing family with my folks today and telling them how it sticks together. Point in case my a to z posts. Four family members on social media A B C D. All four share my posts. When shared by A it is liked by B C D and they all share it further. When shared by B it is liked by A C D and shared further…And the family that shares posts sticks together!😁😁

Haha! That’s a great strategy and one that I am not able to implement so far. But it’s a great motto – the family that shares posts together sticks together. That’s what family is for after all, isn’t it? 😀

I couldn’t help eavesdropping (or is there another term for butting into comments online?) in on this one. Only if family members were so willing. Ha! If wishes were horses.

Equating the family to the toffee made me smile and so did the line when you talked about social distancing. There is so much expressed in so little words Shweta. I appreciate your brevity.
As for my family, we are doing good by being our nutty selves as usual. How about you and your family Shweta? I hope they are doing good too. Wishing you all good health and sanity!
