six word story #110

“Stop. It’s hurting”, begged the patient.

This post was written in response to my own Saturday Six Word Story Prompt (6WSP) #80: Beg. Click on the link to read entries from my fellow bloggers.

This story can be interpreted as a plea from a terminal patient or someone who is scared of injections or even a nervous patient who’s paying a visit to the dentist. I leave that part up to you.

      1. Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. I hope that those issues don’t trouble you so much anymore. The most painful procedure I can remember happened at the dentist’s office too. I had braces and after that, I had to get my wisdom teeth removed by cutting the bone! It was a horrible affair especially the teeth extraction.

      2. I bet that hurt. Dental procedures are mostly very painful. Thankfully, I’m over the worst of them. Or my pain threshold has increased. Thanks 😊

      3. Oh yes. It hurt a lot when the local anaesthetic wore off and it was extremely uncomfortable. I’m glad to know that you’ve over the worst of it. It’s great to have a high pain threshold.

    1. It’s hard to get a beginning and an end in a six word story. I’m glad to know I’ve achieved it this time. It’s what I strive to accomplish when it comes to six word stories! Thanks a lot 😊

  1. I watched a horror film the other week where a mother was having to tend to their child who was gravely injured by something. He kept screaming at her to stop because it hurt him but the poor mother had to ignore his cries and keep doing what was best for him by pouring alcohol over the wound.

    1. Oh no. That’s a very tight spot indeed. When I was small and I used to fall down and hurt myself while playing in the grounds at school. My mom used to ignore all my protests and screams as she cleaned my wounds. The same used to happen to my brother too. He was a much better screamer than I was. But she never stopped until the cuts and bruises were cleaned properly. Somehow, your comment brought back those memories to my mind.
